What is CPD?
CPD (Career Professional Development) is an approach of ideas and techniques which can help you develop your own learning and skills and further progress within the conflict management training sector. The aim of any CPD Trainer Workshop should be to produce results – professional development should open doors. Continuing to improve your own skills can help this happen. With perseverance and dedication and by continuing to update your personal skills you be recognised as a professional in your sector
Who is this event recommended for?
All qualified trainers who deliver training in Conflict Management in any sector (for example Retail, Hospitality, Leisure, Health, Education and Security) would benefit from this CPD Workshop.
Why attend this event?
The requirements of modern business mean that as a professional trainer we have to be proficient in the skills we are training. However, as qualified trainers we all face the concerns of skill fade or continuing to use the same methods of training delivery because it works. As a trainer working to accredited standards through an awarding or governing body, we must continue to develop our current skills and techniques by attending CPD training on a regular basis. This demonstrates to current and future clients / businesses that we are proactive by developing and applying the conflict management skills to suit the different sectors.
CPD however, can prove to be expensive and of no real benefit for various reasons. Therefore at Quell we have taken the time to research this event with various awarding and governing bodies and they agree CPD training not only acknowledges the trainers’ development, but gives the trainer the additional advantage of an enhanced CV and at the same time provides an opportunity to share experiences and ideas within the fields of Conflict Management.
Event Outline:
The event will refresh and further develop all trainers in the concepts and key elements of Conflict Management, providing attendees with new ideas and realistic tips to assist them in further developing and improving their own methods of scenario based learning.
On completion of the event the overall aim for the attendee is to hone their skills in designing effective and realistic scenarios, which will enable their learners to think outside the box and demonstrate a change in behaviour. This will be achieved by providing a greater knowledge and understanding of:
- Why we use scenario based learning – to reinforce learning, identify gaps in learning, overcome learning blocks & change behaviour
- Which activities enhance scenario based learning
- The challenges, issues and dilemma we face within scenario based learning
- How scenarios assist in improving experiential learning which occurs when we immerse ourselves in a situation in which we are forced to perform.
- What methods we can adopt to encourage active learner participation
- How to build effective scenarios to suit specific industries & sectors.
Attendees will be awarded an internal CPD certificate in Improving Scenario Based Learning Skills to demonstrate they are continuing to improve themselves and build confidence in scenario training within Conflict Management.
