Both Maybo and ourselves are trying to raise awareness of Workplace Violence and help organisations in all sectors reduce the risk of  violence, through realistic and effective training courses.

This subject over the past few years has been thrust into the limelight, becuase incidents are being reported and inclusive of the failures of some managers to provide protection for their staff in high risk occupations. (more…)

Attacks on hospital staff at ‘explosive’ levels: judge

Belfast City HospitalAttacks on staff at hospitals in Northern Ireland have reached “explosive” levels, a judge has said.

Judge Amanda Henderson made the comments as she imposed a four-month suspended jail sentence on a woman who assaulted two security guards. (more…)

If you read the article below you will see comments from an editor at the Belfast Telegraph, and even though I agree with everything he says and inclusive of some other points I found about the front page spread in the Belfast Telegraph on 18/10/11, (Assaults in the Heath Care hit 14 assaults a Day) It does not surprise me that 48hrs after the articles and the comments by Minister Edwin Poots that nothing has really moved forward.
