Award for Delivery of Conflict Management Training Level 3 (2886):
On 1st August 2011 the new 2886 Delivery of Conflict Management replaced the 1886 Deliverers of Conflict Management.
Due to the increase in incidences of violence within the workplace, this qualification is achieving greater recognition. The Award enables the qualified trainer to work in a variety of industries and organisations.
Who is the course for?
City & Guilds 2886 Certificate is designed to provide qualified trainers with the key skills and knowledge they need to enable them to deliver proven, realistic and relevant training to deal with Conflict Management (workplace violence) in the workplace. It provides a nationally recognised qualification for those who want to train others to deal with different levels of workplace violence.
This qualification also aids trainers who train Lone Working, Personal Safety and subjects as diverse as Dealing with Difficult People, Customers, Colleagues and Staff.
The qualification provides the trainer with the skills to offer training to a wide range of workers such as, security operators, door supervisors, Health Service workers and anyone who interacts face-to-face with fellow workers and the general public. This is inclusive of in-house trainers who want to elevate the skills of their staff.
The training is not only beneficial to those who are new to training, as the valuable hints and tips in preparing scenarios for conflict management courses provided ensures the qualified and experienced trainers also benefits from the training.
Our training focuses on the development of group work and scenarios to enhance the outcomes, and achieve the overall aim of reducing the risk of workplace violence in all sectors.
How long is the course?
City & Guilds 2886 is delivered by means of a short course induction where a training booklet & pre-course work are issued and discussed, followed by a 2 day workshop.
The Units in the City & Guilds 2886 include:
This comprises of two mandatory unit:
- Managing conflict in the workplace when dealing with customers, service users or the public
- Delivering scenario-based conflict management training
To achieve the qualification, learners must successfully complete a mandatory assessment and deliver a 30 minute scenario-based session following the set City & Guilds criteria, and successfully pass an externally marked Multiple Choice assessment.
